Find Us in Swellendam
Located halfway between Cape Town and George along the scenic N2 highway, Swellendam is the perfect stop-over or primary destination for your nature escape. The drive from Cape Town takes approximately 2.5 hours, while George is roughly 2 hours away, offering a beautiful journey through the heart of the Garden Route's rolling landscapes.
From Cape Town
- Take the N2 Highway from Cape Town toward George.
- Travel for about 220km through Somerset West and over Sir Lowry's Pass.
- Continue past Caledon and Riviersonderend.
- As you enter Swellendam, drive into the town centre, turning left at Suzuki Dealership / Barrels and Blues pub. Follow this road, keeping left at the Y-Junction, with the Golf Course on your left. Hit the gravel road onto Hermitage North Avenue, and continue for 1.6 km.
From George
- Head West on the N2 towards Cape Town.
- Travel for approximately 170km, passing through Mossel Bay and Riversdale.
- Take the first Swellendam entrance and drive into the town centre, turning right at Suzuki / Barrels and Blues pub. Follow this road, keeping left at the Y-Junction, with the Golf Course on your left. Hit the gravel road onto Hermitage North Avenue, and continue for 1.6 km.
